Geraldine Tan
Geraldine graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Masters in Speech and Language Pathology in 2012.
She has 10 years of experience working with both adults and children. She was previously in a restructured hospital in Singapore, specialising in geriatrics and servicing clients with strokes, Parkinson’s disease and dementia.
She was involved in the assessment and intervention of clients with speech, voice and swallowing impairments, as well as planning for group activities to improve cognition and engagement in the patients.
She has experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder in a special needs school for young children below 12 years old. She has provided speech and language assessments and interventions, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) assessments and intervention as well as running feeding groups for children who have a restrictive and selective diet.
She has also provided training sessions for caregivers, parents, as well as school and hospital staff, for both feeding and communication related strategies.
